Venetian millefiori beads, also known as mosaic beads, were created using an ancient glass technique perfected in Venice. Artisans meticulously arranged colored glass canes to form intricate floral and geometric patterns, which were then embedded into these trade beads. Highly valued by African traders, particularly in Ghana, these beads were symbols of status and were often used in cultural rituals. Today, they hold both historical and aesthetic value, celebrating a rich legacy in African trade history.
