Venetian millefiori beads, also known as mosaic beads, were meticulously crafted by layering rods of colored glass into intricate flower-like patterns, known as “millefiori,” meaning "thousand flowers." These beads, part of the historic African trade, were especially valued in West Africa, including Ghana, where they served as symbols of wealth, beauty, and status. Today, these beads are prized collectibles, resonating with both African cultural history and Venetian artistry.
