African Trade Beads – Fancy Powder Glass Krobo Beads 10-11mm

African Trade Beads – Fancy Powder Glass Krobo Beads 10-11mm

Introducing a stunning strand of NEW fancy powder glass African trade beads, handcrafted by skilled artisans from Kroboland, Ghana, West Africa. These beads are inspired by the timeless beauty of old Venetian fancy trade beads, blending traditional craftsmanship with a touch of vibrant creativity.

  • Strand Length: Approximately 26" (65 cm) of beads
  • Bead Size: Approximately 10-11 mm in diameter
  • Material: Recycled glass from bottles and other items

These eco-friendly beads are meticulously crafted by hand. Artisans crush recycled glass bottles into a fine powder, which is then placed into clay molds. The powdered glass is fired in a kiln, where the heat fuses the glass particles into solid, durable beads.

What sets these fancy Krobo beads apart is their intricate decoration. Artisans use natural dyes, glass fragments, and finely detailed tools to etch or paint unique motifs onto each bead. The decorated beads are fired again to set the designs, ensuring their vibrant patterns are long-lasting.

YOUR STRAND WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE STRAND SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
