Authentic Ghanaian Craftsmanship

The brass beads in this necklace are handmade in the Ashanti region of Ghana using the ancient "Lost Wax" casting technique. Each bead requires a wax mold, which is destroyed after casting, ensuring every bead is a unique piece of art.

The vibrant glass beads originate from Krobo land, Ghana. These beads are produced by crushing recycled glass bottles into a fine powder, which is then carefully placed into molds and fired in a traditional firewood kiln. This sustainable practice not only repurposes discarded materials but also keeps the Krobo people's time-honored bead-making traditions alive.

Trade beads like these have played a significant role in African history, often used for cultural exchange, currency, and adornment. Today, they continue to be cherished for their beauty and historical significance.
