Handmade Beaded Bracelet – Brass & Glass Beads from Ghana

Discover the beauty of authentic African craftsmanship with this stunning handmade beaded bracelet. Featuring a blend of recycled glass beads from Krobo, Ghana, and exquisite brass beads crafted using the ancient lost wax technique, this bracelet is a timeless piece of cultural heritage.

  • Inner circumference (unstretched): Approximately 7" (18 cm)
  • Fits wrist sizes up to: 8" (20 cm)
  • Bead size: 7 - 9 mm in diameter

The vibrant glass beads are meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans in Krobo, Ghana. These beads are created by crushing recycled glass bottles into a fine powder, placing the powder into molds, and firing them in a traditional firewood kiln. Each bead is a testament to sustainable artistry and African bead-making traditions.

The brass beads, originating from Kumasi in Ghana's Ashanti region, are made using the revered lost wax casting technique. Every individual bead requires a hand-carved wax mold, which is destroyed to extract the final brass bead—making each one truly unique.

YOUR BRACELET WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE BRACELET SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).

Trade beads hold deep historical and cultural significance in Ghana and throughout Africa. They have been used for centuries as symbols of wealth, status, and cultural exchange. Today, these beads continue to celebrate African heritage and artisanal excellence.
