Handmade Beaded Bracelet – Glass & Brass Beads from Ghana
Discover the beauty of African craftsmanship with this exquisite beaded bracelet, handcrafted with vibrant glass beads and elegant brass beads from Ghana, West Africa. Designed for comfort and style, this unique beads bracelet slips effortlessly onto your wrist with its durable elastic stretch cord.
- Inner circumference (unstretched): 6 3/4" (17 cm)
- Comfortably fits wrists up to: 8" (21 cm)
- Bead sizes: 8 - 11 mm in diameter
The stunning brass beads in this bracelet are meticulously handcrafted in the Ashanti region of Ghana (Kumasi) using the age-old lost wax technique. Each bead requires a custom wax mold, which is destroyed after casting, ensuring that every bead is truly one of a kind.
The vibrant glass beads are made in the renowned Krobo region of Ghana. Artisans transform recycled glass bottles and other discarded glass materials into fine powder, which is then placed into molds and fired in traditional firewood kilns to produce these striking, eco-friendly beads.
All beads are 100% handmade.
YOUR BRACELET WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE BRACELET SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
Trade beads like these have played a significant role in African history, serving as symbols of wealth, status, and cultural identity for centuries. Today, they continue to represent the rich artistic traditions of Ghana and West Africa.
