History & Craftsmanship
Originally crafted in Venice, Italy, beginning in the late 15th century, Chevron beads-also known as Rosetta beads-were created using a multi-layered glass cane technique. Artisans would mold layers of colored glass into star-shaped canes, then slice and polish them into beads. These beads were exported throughout Africa, Asia, and the Americas, where they became symbols of wealth and trade. Their value and collectibility continue to grow today due to their vibrant colors, age, and artisanal heritage.
Whether you're adding to a collection or incorporating history into your jewelry designs, these beads are a rare and beautiful acquisition.
