Handmade Beaded Bracelet – Brass & Glass Beads from Ghana
Discover the beauty of African craftsmanship with this exquisite beaded bracelet made from handcrafted glass and brass beads in Ghana, West Africa. Designed for elegance and comfort, this stunning piece is strung on a durable elastic stretch cord, allowing for an easy slip-on fit.
- Inner circumference (unstretched): Approximately 6 3/4" (17 cm)
- Fits wrist sizes up to: 8" (21 cm)
- Bead size: 9 - 12 mm in diameter
The brass beads are skillfully handcrafted in the Ashanti region of Ghana (Kumasi) using the ancient lost wax casting technique. Each brass bead requires a handmade wax mold that is destroyed to retrieve the final bead, making every piece truly unique.
The glass beads, crafted in Krobo land, Ghana, are made from recycled glass bottles and other glass materials. The glass is crushed into fine powder, placed into molds, and fired in traditional firewood kilns to create these vibrant and distinctive beads.
Each bead in this bracelet is 100% handmade, preserving the rich tradition of African bead-making. Beaded jewelry has played a significant role in Ghanaian culture and African trade for centuries, symbolizing status, heritage, and artistry.
YOUR BRACELET WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE BRACELET SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
