Handmade Beaded Bracelet – Glass & Brass Beads from Ghana
Experience the beauty of African craftsmanship with this stunning beaded bracelet, handcrafted in Ghana. Featuring vibrant glass beads from Krobo artisans and elegant brass beads made using the ancient lost wax technique, this bracelet is a true work of art. Designed for both comfort and style, the beads are strung on a durable elastic stretch cord, allowing the bracelet to slip effortlessly onto your wrist.
- Inner Circumference: Approximately 6 3/4" (17 cm) unstretched – comfortably fits up to 8" (21 cm) wrist.
- Bead Size: 10 - 12 mm in diameter.
The brass beads, meticulously crafted in the Ashanti region of Ghana, are made using the traditional lost wax technique. Each bead requires a unique handmade wax mold, which is destroyed after casting, ensuring that no two beads are exactly alike.
The glass beads are produced in Krobo land, Ghana, through a fascinating recycling process. Local artisans crush discarded glass bottles into a fine powder, carefully place the powder into hand-carved molds, and fire them in a traditional firewood kiln. The result is a vibrant and eco-friendly piece of African heritage.
Beaded bracelets like this have deep historical significance in Ghana and across Africa, often used in trade and as symbols of status, culture, and spirituality.
YOUR BRACELET WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE BRACELET SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
