Each bead is handmade by talented Krobo artisans in Ghana, using traditional bead-making techniques that have been passed down for generations. The process begins with crushing recycled glass bottles into a fine powder, which is then carefully placed into molds and fired in a firewood kiln to create these stunning beads. Their smooth yet organic texture makes each necklace one-of-a-kind.
Additionally, the necklace features brass elements crafted using the lost wax casting technique, an ancient method that ensures every component is unique. African trade beads have played an important role in the history and culture of West Africa, once used as currency and a symbol of status and identity.
YOUR NECKLACE WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE ONE SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
